Terms of use

1. Accepting these Terms

By creating an account or using LocalKaki, you agree to these Terms, the Marketplace Disclaimer, Privacy Notice and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and young users

You must be at least 13. Users aged 13 to 17 require consent and supervision from a parent or guardian and receive additional privacy and communication restrictions. LocalKaki may restrict age sensitive listings and interactions.

3. Community platform

LocalKaki hosts user created listings, services, communities and conversations. We are not a party to arrangements between users and do not guarantee a transaction, listing, provider or outcome. Payments are arranged outside LocalKaki at launch.

4. Your account

Provide accurate information, protect access to your account and notify us of unauthorised use. Verification labels are limited to the check described and must not be presented as government or Singpass verification.

5. Posting responsibly

You must have the right to offer what you post. Content must be truthful, appropriately categorised and lawful. Prohibited content includes scams, stolen goods, weapons, controlled substances, sexual services, exploitative or harmful content, credential requests and listings that endanger children.

6. Communities and communications

Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate, groom, exploit or pressure another person. Do not solicit secrets, intimate material, payment credentials or private meetups from young users. Reporting and blocking controls must not be abused.

7. Moderation and automated checks

LocalKaki may review, restrict, hold, remove or preserve content and accounts to enforce rules, respond to reports, protect users or comply with law. Automated tools may assist safety review, but significant enforcement decisions should remain reviewable by authorised people.

8. Fees

Posting and core community access are free during the launch phase. If paid business tools are introduced later, prices and applicable terms will be shown before purchase.

9. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your content and give LocalKaki a limited licence to host, display, reproduce and moderate it for operating and improving the service. Do not post material you are not authorised to use.

10. Suspension and termination

We may limit or suspend accounts for safety, legal or rule enforcement reasons. Where appropriate, users may appeal. Serious or repeated harm may result in permanent removal and referral to authorities.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalKaki disclaims implied guarantees relating to user content and transactions and is not responsible for losses caused by another user’s conduct. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law, and any restriction subject to a reasonableness requirement applies only to the extent reasonable.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Singapore law. Courts in Singapore have non exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights or agreed dispute process.
